FAQs for Golf Facilities
1. How long
has the TeeSponsor been in use?
The TeeSponsor was first introduced at the PGA Merchandising
show in Orlando in 2005. It has been used at more than 30
golfing facilities in the southeast part of the US. One facility
has had the units out in the Georgia climate for almost 4
years without any damage from environmental elements.
2.
As a golf course owner / manager how do I benefit from participating
with Tee Time Media?
As a participating golf course, you benefit from an additional
revenue stream through advertising, placed by third-party
reputable companies. In addition, many golf courses have used
the TeeSponsor to promote their own special offers, promotions
and special events.
3.
What types of ads will be placed at my facility?
Generally, they are from larger corporate sponsors; smaller
local companies will also be offered an opportunity. We only
work with reputable companies and screen each ad carefully
to ensure they are appropriate and tastefully done.
Some examples of sponsorship’s are:
» Equipment manufacturers
» Golf training aids and instruction
» Auto dealerships
» Insurance companies
» Upscale restaurants
» Financial service providers
» Cigar retailers
We make sure that ads are simple and visually appealing so
they do not distract the golfer.
4.
How does the TeeSponsor advertising program work?
Tee Time Media engages advertisers who wish to target the
golfing community. Advertisers are then matched with golf
courses that meet their geographic and demographic requirements.
We produce the advertising graphics and place them at the
golfing facilities.
5.
What is the potential additional revenue to our golf facility?
Tee Time Media and its dealers reward participating golf facility
with a percentage of the gross revenue earned from ad sponsors
which is paid on a monthly basis.
6.
How often do the advertisements change?
Sponsorships of TeeSponsor ads are typically a one year commitment
or in the northern climates, one golfing season.
7.
What are the responsibilities of the participating golf facility?
The only responsibility of the participating golf facilities
is to ensure maintenance of the advertisements while repositioning
the TeeSponsor unit for mowing or other range maintenance.
The advertising panels are designed to withstand normal wear
and tear, but may require replacement from time-to-time from
incidental damage. Your local dealer will promptly handle
any damaged units or ads when notified.
FAQs for Advertisers/Agencies
1.
How is the advertising rate for sponsorship determined?
The rate is determined by the number of impressions expected
by the location of the golf facility. Smaller golf facilities
will have fewer impressions per month.
2.
How is the advertising fee paid?
Sponsorships fees are based on annual contracts. Northern
facilities will typically have 8-10 months long seasons. In
warmer climates you will enjoy year round benefits. Your annual
contract will be specific to your location.
3.
Can I earn a discount for advertising on multiple courses?
Yes, an advertiser can receive a discount on sponsorship with
multiple course/range locations. Most of our smaller sponsors
generally sponsor 2-3 ads per location and at 4-5 different
locations, depending on the area and location from the sponsor’s
place of business.
4.
What makes the TeeSponsor such an attractive brand-building
medium?
Golf course advertising allows you to reach an affluent market,
the golfer. We will help you create subtle, unobtrusive impressions
delivered in an environment uncluttered by competing messages.
The golfer is in a relaxed, yet focused state of mind. Advertisers
recognize how few opportunities exist to generate so many
repetitive, focused impressions in such a short time period.
5.
What if the golf course/range does not have the TeeSponsor
and I want to sponsor an ad?
If the course or range near you does not have our program,
simply send us the contact information and our sales department
will contact them. If the course/range accepts our program
we will provide you with a discount off of your sponsorship.
6.
How do I know the course/range will maintain my sponsored
ad?
Part of the course/range agreement is to monitor units for
damage. To ensure compliance, courses know that a Tee Time
Media representative and/or dealer will regularly check courses
for compliance. An added benefit for advertisers is that many
of our golf facilities offer the advertising sponsors discounted
range balls or greens fees so the sponsor can see their advertisement
at work.
